is obviously to take out my phone

to tell everybody else about it

the performative aspect of enjoyment

is to want others to see your enjoyment

instead of just

enjoying what you are enjoying

so it is that you glance over to your neighbour

as if so say

“I am enjoying this,

but is it in the right way?”

“I’m not too loud, am I?

Or I am still too meek?

Am I breaking your silence,

Or am I keeping my piece?

Because the peace that we wanted
