What are y’all answering when someone asks what it’s like

to perform at open mic?

My answer’s normally something like:

“It’s great you know?

I love it, I perform every Thursday,

You should come by!

It took me some time to get over my fears but -

It’s great.

I love it.

Did I mention it’s great?”

And generally the conversation moves on after that

I answered their question, so… what’s there left to ask?

But some people see right through my bullshit.

They hit me with

“Tell me more.”

“But I answered your question”

“Well… you told me it was great but… tell me more.
