Alright. Here's a little social experiment I wanna run with y'all. I want everyone to take out their phone and check their screen time in the past day with the breakdown per app.
On iPhone it’s under “battery” - because of course it is.
On Android, I have no idea where it is, but you’re Android users so you probably know what you’re doing.
Once you have it, raise your hand.
Ok now skim your apps and check approximately how much time you spent on social media. You can define that however you want, but basically - get an estimate of how much time you spent scrolling.
I know, I know, Halloween was last month, why am I doing horror in November.
Ok keep your hand raised.
I’m gonna call out times. If you’ve spent less than that amount of time - or if you no longer feel like continuing - put your hand down.
Again, this is a voluntary social experiment - I’m not trying to embarrass anyone.

1 hour
2 hours
…
Ok so we’re about X people in the room
Average looked like X hours
That’s Y hours per day, Z hours per year
I’m gonna ask chatgpt what we could do with that many hours per year
