The things that benefit those in power

Are the things that keep us

Too uninformed to question

Too distracted to notice

Too complacent to fight

Too divided to unify

Too poor to act

Too tired to care

And too disillusioned to believe in change.

The reason is simple

Once someone gains power,

To keep it,

They must do more than merely preserve the systems that got them there,

They must halt the very turns of the wheel of history

That gave them their precious crown.

So naturally, it’s in their best interests to keep people

Depressed.

Unhealthy.

Isolated.
