A question I sometimes ask myself

The easy answer:

I do it for my people.

But - who are my people?

That’s a better question.

Who are my people -

Who are the people I trust, who are the people I care about,

Who are the people I love

Who I am doing this for?

I’ll answer that in the best way I know -

By writing a love letter

and by presenting it

as a spoken word.

To the weary souls

Who still find the strength to carry on.

To the people

Who still do the right thing
